Hi there jasoncpg, welcome! You need to find out at what rpm the motor produces 12V. Then you see if your turbine will reach that speed.

If you don't have much equipment you can start off by handcranking it and estimating the rpm using a second hand of a watch - e.g. 2 turns per second = 120rpm.

About the diode - that depends where home is! Are you in Cape Town?

Difficult to answer... That looks like fewer coils than I am used to. How many magnets are you using? How many phases are you aiming for? It would be helpful to see a diagram of how your magnets will be positioned relative to the coils.

phases i am looking for is 3 magnets will be spaced the same space apart from the next.

I don't see how you will get three phase with that combination.

6 coils, three phases, so two coils per phase. Now the 8 magnets... I can't see a way to arrange that so that one phase works together. 8 magnets would have 45 degrees between them, and the coils in one phase have 120 degrees... and 45 doesn't go into 120!

I think a diagram is the place to start, and check that the coils in one phase pass over the magnets in sync.

ok i is clear i don't know much on AC,so i have looked over this fourm and this is the setup i won't to go with, but can i make it 13"round with the same number of tirns on the coils,1.0 to 1.6 mm 80 tirns will i still make 12v-4 amps ? thanks for the help i do need it. !!

33"round... does that mean diameter? Not sure I follow... 1.0 or 1.6mm wire?

The voltage output depends the magnet strength - what magnets are you using? It also depends on the rpm, so you need to know the rpm you will be working at.

PS: Its quite an effort to understand your English. An occasional full stop would help!
