Inverters

Postby northwest on Mon Nov 09, 2009 12:14 pm

Hi guys,
Please can someone advise me on what type of inverter I require.Off grid, On grid tied, bi-directional inverter, as all I am wonting to do, is operate wind and solar in parrallel through controllers to charge batteries, through the Inverter to the 220 AC load. Should there be no wind,no solar and batteries low the inverter should automatically connect to the grid. What is the best way to achieve this?

By spending LOTS of money! :?

I don't know why, because the electronics can't be that expensive... I guess its the low volumes in the local market, and companies recovering their R&D costs.

If you email me I can put you in touch with someone who has done exactly what you describe.
