Thanks for the pics! Looks like fixed magnets, rotating coils?

What magnets are you using?

the stator is standing still and the magnets is rotating the magnets is bagmagnets and is 30x3mm round I used 2 magnets together so its is 6mm thick

the coils is a 80 wind and it starts to charge my battery at 180rpm
hare is some test open voltage
160rpm

Thanks. What is a bagmagnet :?: Do you know what grade of magnet it is? It seems to me that if you used rare earth magnets, you would get the same voltages at about a third of the RPMs.

What do you plan to do differently for the next one?

sorry it is for badges I called them and thy say it is rare earth magnets
I need to rewind the coils neater and cast it on a level table so that it will be thiner

Sounds good. Am curious how thick the stator is now, and how thick you plan to make it. Also, what material are you using for casting it?

The stator is 12mm at the moment and I want to get it to 8 - 9 mm if you look at the pix it is dun in a harry
so their is a lot of improvement I can make
The casting in resin

Do those coils stay in place when you remove the top set of washers? And does the wire get damaged by the thread on the bolts?

No thy don't get damaged I have spacers that protect them
and sum progress of my now stator it is now 7mm thick and has 80 winds the same as my first one the hole in the middle
is the same size as my magnet

New stator

and the old coil whit the now

Looks good - I look forward to hearing how much power you get!

the new test results
rpm......................old.............new
160rpm...............11.3v.........17.8v
300rpm...............22.6v.........32.8v
375rpm...............27,4v.........40v
470rpm...............38v............50v

that I coll a improvement the magnets is the same and the coils is the same amount of turns
all difference is the neatness of the coils :yay:

Looks good.
Do you have any idea of windspeed vs RPM? That would allow a 'cut in' wind speed to be calculated.
