First Step on a long Learning Curve

Postby Bret on Fri Oct 23, 2009 10:49 am

Hello everyone. :)
A quick introduction:
My knowledge on the subject matter is -well to be honest-zero :( So please bear with me for making any comments/posting questions that sound rather silly or ill informed. :) on a good note I am very keen to learn. :)

Decided to start on a small type scale with the following:

I have a small 40 sq m, flat roof cottage on my property-in Milnerton Cape Town. The main energy sapper is the geyser of course which I will be getting a quote for solar conversion/installation soon.

As a first step towards my learning curve I am thinking of attempting putting up a wind turbine just to power the lights of the cottage-small scale I suppose, but feel I do not want to bite off more than I can chew at this stage.

Will be in touch soon.

Regards,
Bret
